AI in the Fornava Introduction
As a Stranger, you receive one-time AI quotas to try out Fornava's AI-powered features, including creating your own words and having conversations with the villagers.
These introductory quotas are not monthly and do not renew over time. You can explore Fornava at your own pace.
Once you complete the Fornava Introduction, any unused introductory quotas expire. If you choose to continue as a Guest with Fornava Plus, new quotas become available as part of your title path.
QUOTAS WITH FORNAVA PLUS
With Fornava Plus, title-based quotas for certain features are available on your title path from Guest to Keeper of Words. Depending on the title, this includes forging words, AI conversations, your own sentences, and the Duel Hall.
Quotas are tied to the respective title and do not renew over time. You can therefore progress at your own pace.
When you reach the next title, the new quotas provided for that title become available. Unused quotas from the previous title are not carried over.
If the quota for one feature is used up, other available Fornava Plus features remain usable, as long as their own requirements and quotas are met.
From the title Citizen onwards, title-based quotas are replaced by monthly Plus quotas. These remain available for as long as Fornava Plus is active.

Can I really try Fornava for free?
Yes. You can discover Fornava as a Stranger for free and without a credit card. You can try key features such as creating your own words, tests, learning feedback, stories and AI conversations. There is no time limit for completing the introduction.
Do I need a credit card to try Fornava?
No. No credit card is required for the free introduction.
How long can I explore Fornava for free?
As long as you like. There is no time limit. You decide at what pace you complete the introductory tasks. However, the one-time introductory AI quotas do not renew over time.
How far can I progress for free?
You discover Fornava as a Stranger and get to try key parts of the learning world. These include your first own words, tests and learning feedback, the stories of the four villagers, your first AI conversations, and your first features, characters and places. You can also try one case from The Five Scholars. Your further title path begins as a Guest with Fornava Plus.
How do the free AI quotas work?
As a Stranger, you receive one-time AI quotas to explore Fornava. Among other things, they allow you to create your own words and have your first AI conversations with the villagers. These quotas are not monthly and do not renew over time.
Do my introductory quotas expire?
There is no time-based expiration while you are exploring Fornava as a Stranger. Once you complete the Fornava Introduction, any unused introductory quotas expire. They are not carried over to Fornava Plus.
Do I have to subscribe to Fornava Plus after the free introduction?
No. There is no obligation to subscribe to Fornava Plus. If you would like to continue your learning journey as a Guest, you can choose Fornava Plus.
Can I immediately reach higher titles with Fornava Plus?
No. Fornava Plus does not give you titles automatically. It opens the further title path from Guest to Citizen. You continue to earn each title through your own learning progress.
What happens to my progress when I subscribe to Fornava Plus?
Your existing words, learning results and progress remain intact. With Fornava Plus, you continue your journey as a Guest. Any unused quotas from the free introduction are not carried over to Fornava Plus.
What happens when I reach Citizen?
Fornava Plus does not end when you reach Citizen. As long as Fornava Plus remains active, you can continue using Fornava and receive monthly Plus quotas for AI-powered features as a Citizen.
What happens if I cancel Fornava Plus?
Your account, the title you have reached and your saved learning progress remain intact. Your existing words and sentences, as well as stories unlocked up to your current title, remain available to view; where audio versions of those stories are available, you can continue listening to them.
Once your Fornava Plus contract ends, your active learning and progression pause: among other things, you cannot create new words or sentences, start new AI conversations, complete further title tasks or unlock new titles. If you later subscribe to Fornava Plus again, you continue from your saved learning progress.
Can I cancel Fornava Plus at any time?
Fornava Plus Monthly can be cancelled at any time effective at the end of the current monthly contract period. Fornava Plus Yearly runs for twelve months and ends automatically; it does not renew automatically. Your statutory rights, including withdrawal and termination for cause, remain unaffected.
Can I try Fornava for free with more than one language?
No. For the free introduction, you choose one combination of your source language and learning language. The free introduction applies to this one language combination. With Fornava Plus, you can use the other language combinations available in Fornava.
Does Fornava Plus apply to all available learning languages?
Yes. Fornava Plus applies to all learning languages offered by Fornava. The available learning languages and language combinations depend on the current offering. Individual language-specific features, such as workbenches for word forms and grammar, may vary depending on the learning language.

How do I sign up?
For the current beta version, please send a short email to info@fornava.com. After your email has been approved, you can set up your login. Registration uses our secure identity service. After signing up, you confirm the privacy notice in the app and can optionally enable AI features, which are required to use the learning program.
How old do I need to be to use Fornava?
Fornava is intended for adults aged 18 and over. To register, you must confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
Where is Fornava available?
Fornava is available to consumers aged 18 and over who are ordinarily resident in the European Union or European Economic Area. If you live outside the EU or EEA and would like to use Fornava, you can contact us. We will then check whether we can make Fornava available to you.

Is the vocabulary limited to a specific time period or topic?
No.
The medieval-inspired world is only the setting of Fornava.
Which words, sentences, and topics you learn is entirely up to you.
Whether everyday life, work, travel, climate change, or historical topics โ you can have any conversation and build exactly the vocabulary you really need.
The villagers also understand modern topics and relate them to their own world. This creates natural conversations in a living environment, without limiting your learning to a particular era.
Does Fornava cost anything?
You can get to know Fornava as a Stranger for free, with no time limit โ no credit card required. If you choose to continue your journey as a Guest, Fornava Plus is available for โฌ9.99/month or โฌ99.99/year. Find all details in the Pricing section.
Do I need AI consent?
For the learning program โ conversations with villagers, the forge, chronicle, duels, and language features โ separate consent in the app is required. The standalone building and strategy game can be used without AI.
Which languages are supported?
Fornava supports German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Lithuanian, and Albanian โ as a source or learning language in various combinations.
Which devices work with Fornava?
Fornava runs in the browser at app.fornava.com. For speech input and output you need a device with a microphone and speakers. A stable internet connection is required. Soon you will also be able to install Fornava Mobile as an app on your smartphone.
Where are my privacy settings?
In the app under โYour dataโ you can change consents, download a copy of your data, request deletion, or reset device data.
